The First Echo Home

How it works

Follow our journey on how we made Echo Home a reality…

How many discarded tires does it take to make a Shredded Tire Echo Home? In the whiteboard video below you will discover just that as we describe the process of making our first Echo Home. This home was made in 2016, was loaded with 20,300 lbs as a test (it passed) and still stands today.

As far as we know, it is the only monolithically poured, self supporting structure in the world.

Our second home was made this year and as you will see in the second video below, it is an extraordinary accomplishment. SCS Global was so impressed with what we did, that they created a video of the making of the 2nd Echo Home and they are planning to send it through social media around the world. This video is less than a minute long and it tells the story like no words can…

Our mission is to make homelessness a distant memory for millions of families (who are the most in need) around the globe. These homes will pass down through many generations as we expect them to last… forever.
